Founded in 1971 the Trust is now the 7th largest animal rescue and re-homing charity in England and runs 5 centers across the country. You can find us in Watford (London & Home Counties), Berkshire, Essex, Somerset and Cornwall. At our purpose built Retirement Home for elderly animals at Trindledown Farm, Berkshire, we care for many dogs that are generally too old to re-home. With centrally heated units which can accommodate cats and dogs together, we provide sofas, armchairs, TV and radio. It’s a real home from home. At our London & Home Counties centre, as well as at our facilities in Somerset, Cornwall, and Essex, we cater for younger and older animals and in great numbers. When animals come to us they can be very distressed and withdrawn but they are always treated with kindness and care by our staff and volunteers. Every day we care for over 500 animals and we offer a home to a surprisingly wide variety of animals primarily dogs and cats but also farm animals, horses and donkeys, ducks, poultry and small domestic pets. We also provide short term care and rehabilitation for Wildlife. An absolute rule of the Trust is that no healthy animal is ever put to sleep NAWT remains a non-political and non-campaigning organisation, we simply concern ourselves with looking after some of life's casualties. To help us continue this work please visit our website at www.nawt.org.uk. Your gift today will help us to offer a second chance at life to the needy animals of tomorrow. |
