We are the Southport, Birkdale and District Branch of the RSPCA. We care temporarily for needy animals while we find new homes for them - which we do at the rate of about 100 a month. We are a Branch of the RSPCA but we are an autonomous Registered Charity (number 232258). We raise all of our running costs locally. It costs nearly £4,000 a week to maintain our shelter. We do not receive any government grants or lottery funds, so fundraising is very important to us. |
